US Sorted – the mental and physical wellbeing app for University of Salford

Join our Launch event on 2nd November 1PM – 4PM at Salford University.

US-Sorted is a smartphone app that helps the University of Salford keep up to date with latest news and social media. It also includes personal targets, automatic tracking of walking and running through the phone or a wristband including FitBit. It has step tracking with global, monthly, private leagues and a chat feature to keep in touch with friends and colleagues creating a digital community around the Salford University brand aimed at looking after physical and mental wellbeing.

The project was funded by the University of Salford and allows people to create a friendly competition, win prizes and think more about active, healthy lifestyles. The app is designed to increase fitness and wellbeing awareness and empower people with just a basic smartphone. The project also partners with the mental health charity Mind Salford to create wellness content and make charitable donations to Mind for every 1000 steps recorded in the app (until the budget expires). There is also an US-Sorted YouTube channel which feeds into the app. The content is created by the University sports centre, University staff, Mind Salford and more.

To celebrate the launch of US Sorted in September 2021 people who achieve daily 7000 steps or more each month will be entered into a prize draw to win a Garmin Vivofit wristband.

Winners are calculated by the US Sorted app and prizes are awarded at the discretion of the team. Please note that there will be different winners in each month so the prize winners of the first competition cannot win another prize in the next monthly competition.
